Where to donate any unwanted beauty/makeup gifts

Why not donate beauty products? Hello, lovelies. Whilst we are in the midst of a cold snap here in the UK, I am sure you all dreaming of the warm summer days to come and with Christmas now a distant memory, you are starting to think about that annual ‘spring clean’ – I know I am.

As a lover of beauty and makeup, I find myself with an array of unused, unopen products that I will probably never get around to using. I’ve started to have a ‘clear out’ of my bathroom cabinets, spare room cupboards, draws, various makeup bags and storage and thought I wonder if I could donate any of my unused products?

I started to have a dig around the internet as it seems such a waste to throw these items in the bin. With sisters just as obsessed with beauty products as myself and nieces with makeup collection’s bigger than my own,  I thought there must be a charity that accepts products such as these.

After a bit of research, I came across two charities that do just that.

Beauty Banks, a non-profit organisation set up by two industry experts that recognised the need to help women in hygiene poverty. They accept a range of products, including sanitary and hygiene products such as shampoo and toothpaste. Take a look at their Instagram page, the_beauty_banks

You can ship your parcels to them at the below address:

Beauty Banks, c/o Jo Jones, The Communications Store, 2 Kensington Square, London, W8 5EP

Give and Makeup, set up by Caroline Hirons, again a non-profit initiative, who support Refuge and Women’s Aid in the London and Cardiff areas to both women and children who are in need of everyday essentials.  They accept any form of clothing, toiletries, beauty and makeup products. You can find out a bit more by visiting Caroline’s website HERE.

You can ship your parcels to them at the below address:

Give and Makeup, PO BOX 855, London, W4 4AW

Even if you don’t have any unwanted items, why not buy a little box of essentials next time you are in Boots or Superdrug to help others that are in need of these basic items.

Enjoy the rest of your day you beautiful lot and thanks for stopping by.

For now,

L xx
