Parisian Inspired Quick Makeup Look

Hello my lovelies, hope you have a good week so far and welcome to my little ‘how to’ create a Parisian inspired quick makeup look.

I’ve had a short week at work as I was lucky to have Monday off to meet with one of my best friends and blogging buddy JaneLouiseBuckle, a style and lifestyle blogger. The idea was to meet for a day of shopping, gossip, and blogging chat, which then turned into us looking for outfit ideas for her Instagram page.

Anyway, whilst browsing the racks of H&M, I found myself putting together some little outfits that all seemed to have a Parisian feel. I have a special ‘penchant’ for the city and fell in love with it on my first visit a few years back.  Not only do I love everything Paris has to offer in the way of culture, architecture, and fashion, but I just love the women of Paris. They are so effortlessly elegant and beautiful, and their makeup always looks so perfectly ‘undone’

So, with the above in mind, I decided to create a little Parisian inspired look.

This look takes no time at all and I mean its super quick! It doesn’t really take much skill (yay for me as I am no makeup artist) and you need minimal products (skip foundation if you can).

I so wish I would wear this look day to day as I love it, but my oily skin would just not allow for this, but if you can pull this off, this will have you out of the door in seconds!

Products you’ll need

Illuminating Primer, I used the Elf, illuminating face primer, £7.50

Foundation, For this look I used, Clarins Everlasting in the shade Honey as I find this is a little dewier on me, £30.00

Concealer (if needed) – I used Tarte Shapetape, £22.00

Bronzer, I used the Tarte Face shaping pallette, £41.00

Kohl Eyeliner, you want a medium to hard black kohl pencil for this look, I would recommend the Lancome, Crayon Kohl, £19.00

Mascara, for this look I used the Lancome Monsieur Big, £21.00

Red lipstick, Illamasque Glamore lipstick in Rockabilly, £20.00

Vaseline, £1.50

I will admit all of the products above are on the higher end but you can easily swap these out for some of your drugstore favorites, the look will work just as well.

Step 1: EYES FIRST! Yes, this look calls for a naked lid, so its best to start with the eyes. Line your top lash line with a kohl pencil, you don’t need to be too precise with this, and make the line quite think.

Step 2: With Vaseline, smudge out your liner all the way up to your socket line, keeping it darker at the lash.

Step 3: Base! Apply your primer followed by your foundation. Make sure if you do use foundation not to make this too heavy, you want your skin to shine through. Conceal any areas that you need to but do not set the base with any powder. Powder-free on this one ladies.

Step 4: Lightly bronze your face with your chosen bronzer, catching where the sun would naturally hit your face, which is your cheeks forehead and the tip of your nose.

Step 5: Back to eyes, run some liner under your lower lash line, again, not being precise. Smudge this out to give a ‘last nights makeup look’ and finish with a rough coat of mascara to top and bottom lashes.

Step 6: Fill in your eyebrows if needed, this look is all about being ‘undone’, so leave them au naturel if you can.

Step 7: Wack on some lippy! The key to this is to apply this roughly, so you have the ‘just been kissed look’ – I mean, after all,  you are trying to the achieve a look from the city of love!

And Voilà – Parisian Chic in minutes.
