Glossybox Sunday Riley Limited Edition Box
Hello, lovelies. I hope you are all well? I’m super excited to be bringing you my review of the Glossybox Sunday Riley limited edition box today!
Not heard of Sunday Riley before? Then keep reading..
Limited edition Glossybox?
Yes! So aside from bringing you your monthly box full of beauty treats, they also from time to time launch ‘limited edition’ boxes, usually in collaboration with a big brand, so they are worth keeping an eye out for. Past boxes have featured brands such as La Mer and NARS.
The limited edition boxes are a little more pricey than the monthly subscription box. The Sunday Riley Box was £25 inc p&p for subscribers and £30 inc p&p for non-subscribers, opposed to the monthly £10 plus p&p subscription fee.
Unfortunately, this box is now sold out, in fact, it sold out in minutes! To get your hands on one of their limited edition boxes you have to be on the ball with that buy button.
Ok, so when Glossybox announced they were launching this box in the UK, I just had to get my hands on it. Skincare buffs will be well aware of the brand and that some of its products have reached cult status.
An American skincare brand and brainchild of Sunday, all the products are formulated to be fast acting and full of only the best ingredients. After studying chemistry, Sunday launched her first line of products back in 2004 with the ethos that only the best grade A ingredients were to be used in her formulations. Naturally, this doesn’t come cheap.
The brand is cruelty-free and features products that are fast acting, targeting the signs of ageing and are said to deliver amazing results.
As I mentioned above, because of the formulations and ingredients within the products, the brand is higher end and does come with a higher price tag.
What was in the box?
When this dropped through my door, I was like a child in a sweet shop. I’ve somehow managed to resist the temptation to use any of the products before photographing for this post! #bloggerproblems
The box has one full-size product and four deluxe minis. Because of the high price tag, this is an excellent way to sample some of the brand’s products.
Blue Moon Tranquillity Cleansing Balm
This is the full-sized product in this box. Made with cocoa butter and mimosa wax, it’s deep cleansing whilst being rehydrating and soothing for more sensitive skins. Formulated with deep blue essential oils of blue tansy and German chamomile, and vanilla and sweet orange essential oils help relax for a spa-like cleansing experience.
Now, I have heard rumours that this cleansing balm is being discontinued, which might explain how this full-size product got a feature in this box. That being said, I don’t mind as it’s still a great way to try the brand.
This retails for £46 for 100ml.
CEO Rapid Flash Brightening Serum and CEO C+E Antioxidant Protect and Repair Moisturiser
Two deluxe mini sizes from the CEO vitamin C range.
The Rapid Flash Brightening Serum has 15 per cent vitamin C and helps to fight the look of dullness, dark spots and instantly brightens the skin for intense radiance and luminosity. Full-size RRP, £70, 30ml.
C&E Antioxidant Protect and Repair Moisturiser. A hydrating moisturiser, infuses skin with high potency vitamin C, supporting the effects of micro pollution and ageing. Full-size RRP, £90, 50ml.
Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream
A super rehydrating advanced brightening and refining treatment, this product is said to be a next-generation water cream. This can be applied as a moisturiser to help brighten pigmentation or over makeup to lock in hydration. Full-size RRP £60, 50ml.
Luna Sleeping Night Oil
Ok, so this is the cult product I have heard so much about and I am super excited to try this.
A best selling product for Sunday Reily, this oil is formulated with a derivative of Vitam A. Vitamin A, also known as retinol boosts skin plumpness, whilst improving the appearance of fine lines, redness and pores. Full-size RRP £85, 35ml. Ouch!
So I think you’ll agree for £25, this box is well worth the money! As someone that has never tried any products from the brand, I am excited to dive in, although, also a little worried I may fall in love with some VERY expensive skincare.
If you’re new to Glossybox, it’s a beauty subscription box priced monthly at £10 plus P&P. You will receive 5 beauty products and is an awesome way to discover new brands. Your subscription is paid for in monthly intervals and you are free to cancel at any time.
