Cheap mascara? Yes and for £3.
Hello, my lovelies. I hope you are all enjoying the Easter break? Apologies for being a little absent on my blog these past couple of weeks, I have been preoccupied; but I’m back and with a cheap mascara to share with you all.
In my absence, I have been doing a little bit of research for a future blog post, whilst still a work in progress, I did however come across a fab little mascara for £3 that I just couldn’t wait to share with you!
If you are a regular reader of my blog, firstly thank you for being interested in my content and secondly, you’ll know I am a complete mascara addict – the collection continues to grow!
Whilst I do love a high-end product, I have started to come across more and more budget-friendly drugstore alternatives (and who doesn’t love saving a pretty penny, errr hands up ME). You can hop over and take a look at which drugstore product is now a firm favourite in my makeup bag HERE.
So whats even better than a good drugstore mascara find? A mascara that comes in at under a fiver, £3 to be exact. Come on, get to it, I know, I know.. So what I am so excited to share with you? Ok, so, here it is, the brand is Essence and the mascara is the Lash Princess, False Lash Effect.
If you haven’t heard of Essence before, they are a US drugstore brand (this may give you a little clue on my current research project) and you UK gals can find this in.. wait for it, Wilko, of all places.. who knew? They have some fab products, and I will be posting in the near future a rundown of my favourites from them, but I couldn’t wait to tell you about this mascara.
Why am I loving this mascara? Well, firstly, as the title of this post would suggest its £3, secondly, it gives A.M.A.Z.I.N.G volume and length, and thirdly, it does not budge or smudge! I am so fussy when it comes to a good mascara; I am lucky to have long lashes, but they clump, and easily! The only downside to this product is that the formula is VERY wet, and I mean WET! Top tip, when you first start using the product, use a clean tissue to wipe the excess from the wand; you should be able to stop doing this as soon as the mascara starts to dry out a little.
Here is a quick snap of my lashes that I took last night. Apologies for the flash photography here.
Wilkos best-kept secret is now out. I know I will be running down to my local store to stock up on more.
Hope you have all enjoyed this little post, enjoy the rest of your break; oh and please don’t forget to subscribe, I’d really like it…
