Code Beautiful Mascara
Hello, lovelies. Today on the blog I am talking about an amazing mascara from a brand you may not have heard of, and that brand is Code Beautiful.
I was approached by their lovely team a couple of months ago and asked if I would like to give their mascara a try, and being the total mascara junkie that I am of course I said yes!
As I said, I’ve had this for a couple of months now, but really wanted to test this out. I have given this a complete test run! Its been worn in rain, the wind, and the sun, sea and sand (oh how I wish the sun, sea and sand was true). But seriously, I have worn this over and over to be able to give you guys an honest review of the product!
OK, so what is this mascara all about; and more importantly, who are Code Beautiful and why do you need to give this brand a little look?
Code Beautiful is a brand with a difference and pride themselves on not following fashion or trends, they are focused on producing fabulous everyday handbag essentials that we women need!
“To have the confidence to innovate, lead and just be ourselves. Curating a select range of products that stand out from the crowd.”
I was sent two products from this brand, the first being their, Forget False Lashes Primer. Designed to plump, condition and add instant volume to lashes prior to mascara application.
“A fibre based, creamy light brown formula that plumps and thickens even the tiniest of lashes. Features hydrating and conditioning agents to care for lashes and softening agents that prevents cracking and flaking.”
Along with the primer, I was also sent their Volume Lengthening Mascara. Designed to be applied with or without the primer, which is a glossy, black fibre-based mascara enriched with vitamins and waxes to encourage lash growth. Designed to coat every lash, this is a fibre mascara, but with a difference!
I have, like many of you I’m sure, tried fibre mascaras in the past, but this is fibres with a difference! Gone are those spidery looking lashes! No more flaky dry mess that just irritates your eyes, with lashes that end up on your cheeks by midday. This truly is different!
Below is a before and after picture.
Above, me with no primer or mascara, and below with the primer and two coats of the mascara. Amazing right!
OK, so I have to admit, I am lucky to have naturally long lashes, but I haven’t come across another mascara that has made them this long before!
What about the wear test?
As I said, I have given this a proper test run and I can assure you, no smudging, no flaking and no dreaded pander eye. This mascara has a truly good formulation, which now has a place in my top 5!
I will be honest, when I was asked to try this I thought, meh, I will try it; I probably won’t like it and I will end up giving it to a friend! How wrong I was! This is staying well put in my very own makeup bag.
The primer retails for £18 and the mascara £19.95. On the higher end budget wise, but I’ve had these open for around 5 weeks now and there is no sign of them drying up!
